One of SFC’s great friends and supporters – CAMEO of Lee County – presented SFC with a check to grant Christmas wishes for our programs that help out frail elders year round.  It was accepted at the Cameo membership meeting on November 18, 2010 by Nancy Green-Irwin.

CAMEO of Lee County is a group of individuals who are dedicated to the betterment of the lives of seniors in Southwest Florida.  Formed ten years ago, CAMEO (Cooperative Associates Marketing Elderly Options) consists of members who represent the many different private and public services and businesses that serve the senior community– non-profit senior services providers, home health, senior living, retirement, finance and investment, senior publications, and many more. The mission statement of Cameo is:

To serve the needs of our Senior Community residing in Lee County by:

• Communicating information on available services and resources
• Providing access to current information on government programs and funding
• Identifying service gaps in our community and providing available solutions
• Working as a team to improve the quality of life for our Older Adults through networking and the sharing of ideas and values

Senior Friendship Centers would like to thank every member of CAMEO for the difference they are making in our senior community daily and for the generous check received by SFC making the holidays brighter!
