SFC Lee Martin Luther King Day Service Project 2010

The Service Day for MLK Day AmeriCorp/SFC in Fort Myers was a worthy and very needed service project.

A breakfast for the Homeless Ministry at First Baptist Church was prepared and served by AmeriCorp Volunteer Brenda Ribble with the help of 10 other volunteers from RSVP,FBC and AmeriCorp. Over 60 homeless were served a breakfast of breakfast casserole, sausage gravy and biscuits, scrambled eggs, bacon, homemade muffins, fresh fruit, cereal, juice and coffee. Many God Bless You could be heard being offered to the servers as they were filling plates of food.

A huge Thank You to First Baptist Church, Pastor John Daugherty, Connie Petito for the use of their well equipped facility. RSVP volunteers, Diane, Kathleen, Holly, Judy, Gelia, Jim and AmeriCorp volunteer Conisha for all your help.

Thank You Everyone for all the your effort in a great service project!
