Venice Friendship Centers

Located west of Tamiami Trail where Shamrock curves south along the Intracoastal Waterway, the Venice Senior Friendship Center campus is nestled amongst the oaks and pines in a beautiful park setting.

The campus includes:

  • Kathleen K. Catlin Friendship Center
    A bustling senior center and the campus hub of activities and extended learning opportunities
  • The Friendship Cafe
    Nutritious healthy meals are provided for persons 60 and older at our Friendship Cafes. Enjoy a friendly atmosphere, entertainment and activities. A suggested donation of $3 is asked to help cover the cost of meals. Reservations are required 24 hours in advance. Click on menus tab at the top of this page for current menu.   • Supportive Aging Services, including case management, social services and Friendship at Home.
  • Pat Buster Center for Healthy Aging
    SFC's medical and dental clinics serve low income persons 55+, accepting Medicare and Medicaid as well as uninsured individuals. See Centers for Healthy Aging under services.
  • The Living Room Adult Day Services
    Provides safe, affordable care for loved ones while caregivers work or simply have time to themselves. For more information, click here, for a downloadable flier about the Living Rooms, click here.
  • Friendship Centers Volunteer Services
    Learn how you can be a part of our team of volunteers.
  • Small Appliance Repair Shop
    Volunteers repair small appliances for a nominal fee.

Founded in 1973, Senior Friendship Centers' leading edge programs have earned this organization many awards and a reputation as a national model for meeting the needs of persons 50+.

Friendship Centers Annual Appeal Constance Spaulding

Constance Spaulding had lost her hearing. Thanks to a grant from The Community Foundation of the Venice Golf and Country Club, the Friendship health Services gave it back. "It feels wonderful to actually hear the water running and the telephone ring! I am so grateful to Venice Friendship Center Health Services – they have changed my life!"
