If you have an Apple iPad, or are thinking about getting one, a new six week educational series offered at Senior Friendship Centers will help you learn to make the most of it. Taught by David Johnson, the course is designed for beginners. It runs two hours per week for six weeks. The current class is full, but additional classes will be scheduled.
The iPad is especially popular with older adults who find its features easy to use and love to use it to stay in touch with family and friends. Classes are tailored for beginners -- no prior computer background necessary.
Each session lasts 2 hours. The cost is $60 for the entire course, which covers everything from from choosing the right model to using all the basic applications.
Participants learn how to access the thousands of fun, free and fee applications from the Apple Ap Store; how to print wirelessly, how to use the built-in camera for pictures and how to use your iPad to communicate with friends and family near and far.
