Senior Friendship Centers has received a $5,000 grant from the Linnie E. Dalbeck Memorial Foundation Trust to underwrite program support for Powerful Tools for Caregivers. This program addresses the needs of individuals caring for a frail elder through using Powerful Tools for Caregivers, a six week educational curriculum teaching caregivers how to cope with the challenges and joys of caregiving. The granttwill enable Senior Friendship Centers broaden its outreach to caregivers by training volunteers to become program instructors and expand outreach to ethnically diverse populations.
“We are deeply appreciative of this grant from the Linnie E. Dalbeck Memorial Foundation Trust,” said Robert Carter, Senior Friendship Centers President and CEO. “ This funding will enable us to reach out with support and education to the caregivers in our communities who are facing one of the most challenging times in their lives.”
