At Senior Friendship Centers of DeSoto County persons 60+ can come to receive a warm nutritious meal and to enjoy the company of others. Bingo, cards & games, crafts, movies, low-impact exercise and special entertainment are offered, as well as blood pressure and glucose screenings and a variety of health and education programs. This is a place to find help, information and assistance. SFC offers nutritious meals delivered to the home, in-home services for elders in need of assistance, and case management to help access and arrange these services. A wonderful place to volunteer in a meaningful way in our community, SFC of DeSoto brings people together as a community of "people helping people."

1-800-96-Elder is a statewide toll-free telephone information and referral service linking callers to local resources.
Bath Pond
Christa Strauss, Communications Assistant for the Peace River Valley Citrus Growers Association stopped by to visit and presented us with copies of Lowell Teal’s novel “Bath Pond.”
