Senior Friendship Centers

Senior Friendship Centers, Inc., established in 1973, is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping older adults live with dignity and independence in Sarasota, Desoto, Charlotte, Lee and Collier counties. Funded in part by State and Federal agencies, and support from private foundations and individuals, Senior Friendship Centers serves more than 10,000 older adults annually.

Two Major Gifts Establish Resnick Endowment

A surprise highlight of the Health Services Holiday party this year was the announcement of the The Dr. Albert Resnick Endowment for Healthy Aging. Established with $100,000 gifts from Doctors Robert and Patricia Gussin and Bill and Weslie Janeway, Dr. Resnick’s son-in-law and daughter, the endowment will enable the clinics in Sarasota and Venice continue to provide care to older adults in need for years to come.
