Located in beautiful Luke Wood Park near downtown Sarasota is the home of Senior Friendship Centers, just at the curve of Mound Street where 301 and Tamiami Trail come together.

The campus includes:
  • The Friendship Center - a bustling senior center that's the campus hub of activities and extended learning opportunities

  • The Rubin Center for Healthy Aging - health and dental clinics
  • The Friendship CafĂ© - great nutrition programs including home delivered meals called Friendship Meals on Wheels

  • The Brother William Geenen Living Room - adult day services

Leading edge programs have earned this organization many awards and a reputation as a national model for meeting the needs of persons 50+.

In addition, Senior Friendship Centers provides eldercare services, healthy aging education, meal programs, and volunteer services to address the continuum of aging from early retirement through ages 100+.

Retirees in Service to the Environment (RISE) Class Forming
"The RISE program, an exciting opportunity for older adults to connect to the environment, is now enrolling participants for a class starting in October. After completing the RISE course, participants may opt to volunteer on an environmental project with one of our partnering nonprofit agencies." - Eva Holtzer, RISE Program Director
